Good reading starts with a choice.
A signal. A shortcut.
You have the last word.
A first signal before you open.
Hover over an article link in your feed for a first indication of whether it fits your interests. Open the article for a fuller assessment.
“Useful” is
personal.
The same article.
A different moment.
Learning something new? Solving a problem? Just exploring? What deserves your attention depends on what you need today.
-
01
Make it yours.
Import your profile from ChatGPT or Claude, then tell Attention what matters now. You can change your goal right on the card.
-
02
Read enough to understand.
Move between relevant passages, with examples, explanations and limitations kept together. If no useful match is found, Attention says so. A partial AI assessment is clearly marked.
-
03
Was that new to you?
Mark a passage “Already knew” or “New to me”. Your voluntary feedback stays local and helps improve later estimates.
03 / A moment in practice
From
maybe
to a decision.
Your profile. A first signal in the feed. Relevant passages, with enough context to make sense.

Your reading life.
Kept close.
Ordinary evaluation happens in your browser. Your saved profile, reading memory and feedback stay in a local vault, encrypted with a password you choose. No Attention account. No built-in analytics.
External AI is optional and needs your own API key. When you request AI analysis or use a connected service, relevant data goes to that provider. You can lock or erase your local vault.
A note from the maker
“An article can be good and still not be what you need right now. That’s the idea I’m building Attention around.”
Aleksey Voloschuk — creator of Attention
Attention grew out of the ideas I explore in my book, After Labor and Capital: The Political Economy of the Transitional Period (OSF). It brings that work on the value of information into everyday reading: what is this information worth to you, right now?
This is an early version, shaped by real reading and honest feedback. If a recommendation misses the mark, I’d like to hear about it.
Optional donations via Ko-fi help me keep building Attention.
A little less noise. A little more room.
